USING YOUR OVEN
Your oven will arrive pre-cured and ready to start cooking and you will be shown how to create and maintain an oven heat on the dome and floor.
MAKING THE FIRE
Using kindling wood and firelighters the fire can be lit in the
middle of the oven. Add a few small pieces of hardwood and after
a few mins 2-3 pieces of wrist thick hardwood, and wait 15-20 mins.
At this stage your thermometer should reach the desired 350˚ -400˚ C.
This temperature needs to be maintained through out the cooking period
by adding wood every 15-20 mins.
Then push the wood to one side with the pizza spatula and brush the surface with the steel brush provided.
COOKING PIZZAS
We provide a small recipe book with the oven. The ideal
cooking time is approx 90 - 120 seconds and the pizzas need to be
rotated during the process. You should have a crisp browned base
with a bubbling top
COOKING OR SMOKING MEAT
The recipe book provides details of cooking meat. Tandoori chicken and lamb are particularly successful in this oven.
The Bernito Portable Gas Fired Pizza Oven
A liquid gas version of the oven is available. This oven has a flame safety valve system to cut-out if the flame goes out and is certified as fully leak tested. The LPG bottle is installed in a locked cage under the oven. The system uses a stainless steel burner and is professionally installed to the highest standard.
The price for the complete oven is £970 including a new full gas bottle.
If you do not require a portable oven and do not need the trolley deduct £220 from the cost of either of the two types of oven.
